Emirates Stadium side chase in-form midfield maestro.
Arsenal are reportedly plotting an ambitious move to sign Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric as Arsene Wenger looks to replace Spanish veteran Mikel Arteta according to Football Direct News.

The 28 year old was the subject of much criticism after a poor start to his Bernabeu career but his form over the past year has been nothing short of sensational and the Croatian international is now a virtual ever present under Carlo Ancelotti and there seems little reason why the former Tottenham man would be considering leaving the Spanish giants anytime soon.
Modric has been pivotal this term as Real Madrid mount a La Liga title push whilst also looking to secure their tenth European Cup/Champions League triumph with the masterful midfielder no doubt being one of the first names on Ancelotti’s team-sheet.
Arteta has been average this season and with just a year to run on his current deal there is much speculation that 32 year old could be set to leave the Emirates Stadium.
Arguably Arsenal have more than enough central midfield options to cope with Arteta’s departure but ongoing fitness/injury concerns over the likes of Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere and Abou Diaby may well lead Arsene Wenger to target more additions with no doubt a renewed push for German youngster Julian Draxler in the offing.
