Tottenham Hotspur head coach Tim Sherwood says that he is worried that star man Christian Eriksen will be snapped up by a rival club at the end of the season, according to reports in the Daily Mail.

The brilliant Denmark international turned in yet another eye-catching display for the north London club as they overcame struggling Fulham 3-1 at White Hart Lane on Saturday afternoon.

Eriksen created two of the home side’s three goals with inch-perfect centres for Paulinho and Younes Kaboul to tap in from close range in a man-of-the-match display that only served to further increase the 22-year-old’s growing reputation.

However, as a result, Sherwood now says that he is worried that rival suitors will be lining up to sign the great Dane when the summer transfer window reopens for business at the start of July due to the excellent season that player is currently enjoying for the north Londoners.

“You are always fearful that someone might come and take one of your best players and Christian is certainly one,” said Sherwood of the midfielder who they bought for just £11.5m from Eredivisie champions Ajax last summer.

Eriksen has so far managed to register seven goals and nine assists in his 22 Premier League outings for Spurs in this campaign.
