Everton will look to bring in new signings this summer as Roberto Martinez seeks to make the most of the club’s excellent campaign with TuttoMercato claiming that the Toffees will look to sign embattled Man United midfielder Tom Cleverley and Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku.

England international Cleverley has come in for a fair amount of criticism this term and could well be one of a number of under-performing Man United talents who could leave in the summer as a new Old Trafford manager looks to freshen up the Old Trafford squad.

The 24 year old may well be seen as a viable central midfield addition by Martinez, who could well miss out on the opportunity to land Gareth Barry on a permanent deal. The Man City man will be out of contract at the end of the season and has impressed during his loan spell at Goodison Park but his wage demands may well rule him out of a possible permanent move to the Merseyside club.

Martinez will have been mightily impressed by the efforts of Belgian powerhouse Lukaku and will now look to persuade the 20 year old to join the club on an outright deal.

With Blues boss Jose Mourinho seemingly not convinced of Lukaku’s ability to lead the Chelsea attack a move away from the west London club seems entirely possible but it would take a club record bid from Everton to stand any chance to signing the forward.

Lukaku has scored 13 goals in 26 Premier League starts this term.
