QPR midfielder Stephane Mbia is somewhat surprisingly said to be considering offers for his services from both Liverpool and Everton according to France Football.

The 27 year old enforcer failed to impress in his first season at Loftus Road and was loaned out to Sevilla this term and has been in and out of the side due to injury and one wonders if either Merseyside outfit would feel a move to the Cameroon international would represent an improvement on what they currently have to call upon.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers’s first choice defensive midfielder is Lucas Leiva and arguably they do not possess any other tough tacklers so could perhaps do with a back-up option, especially with a Champions League campaign to consider.

Everton have a number of central midfielders in their armoury with James McCarthy the man who provides Roberto Martinez with the steel in the centre of the park.

Mbia showed precious little in his debut season in the Premier League to suggest he would offer any real value to either side.

QPR are no doubt keen to offload Mbia to help wipe his big wage packet off their balance sheet though if they do secure promotion back to the top tier they may elect to welcome the former Marselle man back into the fold.
