St James’ Park side could bring in hapless Scot.

Check in to Arsenal vs Newcastle United

With Man United having dispensed with the services of manager David Moyes it seems that the Scot won’t have to wait too long for a new post with the Daily Express claiming that a move to take over at Newcastle United is a distinct possibility.

Having lost 11 Premier League fixtures and led Man United to their first unsuccessful attempt to secure a Champions League berth it was no surprise when the Old Trafford side axed Moyes and now he is being lined up to replace Alan Pardew at St James’ Park.

The Magpies have been on a woeful run of form since January, no doubt fueled by some extent by owner Mike Ashley’s willingness to sell the club’s star player Yohan Cabaye to PSG, and there is certainly pressure on Pardew as the club sit in mid-table.

Newcastle United have collected just three wins in their last 13 Premier League fixtures and the pressure is certainly growing on Pardew, who returns to the touchline for their upcoming trip to Arsenal following the ban he received for clashing with Hull City midfielder David Meylet
