Old Trafford club have asked the relevant people about Messi’s situation at Barca.
Manchester United and PSG are monitoring Lionel Messi’s situation at Barcelona, according to well-connected Spanish journalist Guillem Balague.
Messi is reportedly unhappy at various aspects of life at the Nou Camp, including the team’s style of play, his ongoing contract negotiations and his treatment in comparison with summer signing Neymar.
Balague, a man with close links to Barca and who wrote the biography of former boss Pep Guardiola, told Bleacher Report the Catalans have ‘seriously contemplated’ selling the forward, who is widely regarded as the finest player on the planet.
In such an eventuality, United would be interested in Messi and the Red Devils have already asked the reverent people what the situation with the player is.
PSG, meanwhile, have put a ‘huge’ offer on the table for the four-time Ballon d’Or winner.
The Parisiens are one of the richest clubs in world football and, like United, are one of the few outfits on the planet with the resources to lure the Argentina international away from the Camp Nou, where he has spent his entire professional career.
