Arsenal’s Bacary Sagna Is ‘100%’ Certain To Leave The Emirates This Summer

Frenchman wanted a new three-year deal worth £100k per week and a signing-on fee to remain with the Gunners.

Arsenal right-back Bacary Sagna has already made up his mind “100 per cent” to quit the north London club come the end of the season and move to Premier League rivals Manchester United or Manchester City, according to exclusive reports in the Daily Star.

The experienced France international’s current contract at the Emirates runs out at the end of June and despite the two parties having been discussing an extension to that deal for more than a year now, it appears as though Sagna has now finally decided to leave north London this summer after seven years with the Gunners.

And that is because the full back is said to be angered by the offers on the table from the Arsenal board to persuade the 31-year-old to remain in the capital, with the most recent of a two-year deal worth £75,000 per week not deemed sufficient enough to entice Sagna to commit his future to the club.

As a result, the Frenchman will now join either the Premier League champions or their city rivals, with Sagna said to be keen to remain in the Premier League, meaning he will therefore reject enticing offers from the likes of Real Madrid, Galatasaray and Inter Milan.

“He will leave the club 100 per cent – there is no way he will stay,” revealed a source close to Sagna,

“He feels very heartbroken, disgusted and disrespected by the board and the offers they are making, after being so loyal to the club for so many years.

“Now his focus will be to help his team-mates and the fans by landing the FA Cup and a top four finish.”
