The Red Devils may have just seen their manager David Moyes given his matching orders earlier this week, however, the Premier League giants are still said to be keen to get as much as their summer transfer activity done and dusted as is possible before the start of the World Cup finals in June.
And the first bits of business for the club’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward to negotiate is the twin purchase of Saints stars Shaw and Lallana, with the England international left-back set to cost United a whopping £30m, while his Three Lions midfield colleague and skipper at St Mary’s is valued at £25m.
And regardless of the identity of the next United head coach, the north-west outfit will still try to land the duo over the course of the next month.
