Man United will officially unveil Louis van Gaal as the permanent successor to axed boss David Moyes next week according to Dutch source De Telegraaf.

The experienced coach is keen to have the deal sewn up so as to not distract from his duties as Holland’s national team boss as he prepares for the upcoming 2014 World Cup finals and the former Ajax, Barcelona and Bayern Munich man is set to be handed a big transfer war-chest to invest in his squad.

The Old Trafford club’s owners will hand the 62 year old €100m (£82m) to invest in new talent and the agent of German pair Toni Kroos and Marco Reus was present during Man United’s 4-0 win over Norwich City, sitting next to former boss Sir Alex Ferguson no less.

Van Gaal has won seven domestic titles in three countries and also clinched a Champions League triumph during his spell as Ajax boss back in 1994/95.
