Louis Van Gaal Wants Bayern Munich And Roma Stars To Kick Off His Old Trafford Reign

Champions have still to confirm who their new boss will be.

Prospective new Manchester United head coach Louis van Gaal has already identified midfield as being the main area of the team that needs strengthening when he takes over the reins at Old Trafford this summer, with the experienced Dutch trainer wanting to sign both Toni Kroos and Kevin Strootman according to exclusive reports in the Daily Star.

The former Ajax, FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich head coach is the bookies’ favourite to take over from the recently sacked David Moyes in the Red Devils hot seat at the end of this campaign following the Scot’s sudden departure from the Theatre of Dreams last week.

Already, despite there still being no official word coming out of the Premier League champions, Van Gaal is understood to have been busy drawing up a list of possible new recruits to bring to the north west when the summer transfer window does reopen for business.

And top of the experienced manager’s shopping list are said to be the names of AS Roma’s Netherlands international Strootman, who is currently out injured with a knee problem, and Bayern Munich’s Germany international Kroos.
