Arsenal are readying an ambitious move for Bayern Munich defender Dante according to Football Direct News.

The 30 year old has been a reliable performer in the Allianz Arena defence and is contracted to the Bavarian club until 2017 and it’s not instantly obvious as to why the 30 year old would consider leaving the Bundesliga title holders this summer.

Arsenal scouts have apparently been tracking the former Borussia Monchengladbach man and will no doubt have been impressed by his displays but whilst Arsene Wenger may be looking to bring in another top quality centre-back to challenge his first choice pairing of Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker a move for Dante could be a very tough one to pull off.

Dante secured a Bundesliga, DFB Pokal and Champions League treble in his first season at Bayern Munich and under Guardiola the Brazilian international has seen more action than any other outfield player and has been a pivotal part of the club’s record breaking domestic league triumph.

Bayern Munich have conceded just 22 goals in 32 Bundesliga fixtures this term and Dante’s consistent displays are a big reason for such a paltry tally.
