Gunners to make serious offer for France international.
Arsenal are believed to be considering a return for young midfield ace Geoffrey Kondogbia after they missed out on his signature last summer, according to Football Direct News.
The 21-year-old emerged as a top target for the Gunners last summer while he was still with La Liga giants Sevilla, where he was also interesting the likes of Chelsea and Real Madrid.
Instead he opted for a move to Monaco in a £16m deal, though unlike the other stars the principality club brought in during their spending spree, Kondogbia has struggled to find his best form.
But that hasn’t stopped Arsene Wenger from remaining a fan of the player, and may once again decide to press ahead with a move for him upon learning that Monaco would be willing to move him on for the right price.
However, the Gunners may face some competition for his services from arch rivals Tottenham Hotspur, who are also said to be keen, but Wenger is confident on getting the jump on Spurs as their managerial situation remains unclear.
Kondogbia has made 30 appearances for Monaco so far this term, scoring one goal in the process.
