The 24 year old came close to moving to Goodison Park last summer but the Toffees opted against signing the then FC Twente man over fitness concerns. However since moving to Norwich City Fer has been pretty much a regular, starting 28 of the Carrow Road side’s 36 Premier League fixtures.
Indeed Fer has impressed for the Canaries and it’s likely he will look to leave the club if they fail to beat the drop and a move to Everton could therefore become a distinct possibility.
The rangy midfielder could offer Roberto Martinez will extra quality in the centre of the park and will become all the more likely to feature on Everton’s summer wish-list if they fail to convince Gareth Barry to sign for the club on a permanent basis after his impressive loan stint.
Everton’s success this term has been down in no small part to the efforts of loaned in talent and as well as looking for a permanent midfield signing Martinez must also look for a viable candidate to fill the void that will be created by Romelu Lukaku’s return to Chelsea at the end of the current campaign.
