Arsenal are in advanced talks to bring in three early summer signings as Arsene Wenger sets about spending a sizable transfer war-chest he has been handed by the Emirates Stadium board.

CaughtOffside understands that the north London club are confident of luring Croatian international forward Mario Mandzukic to the Premier League and are ready to meet Bayern Munich’s £25m valuation of the 27 year old marksman.

Wenger wants to complete a deal to sign the former Wolfsburg man before the 2014 World Cup finals get underway and Mandzukic is hopeful of leaving the Allianz Arena for Arsenal as he is all too aware that his first team chances at Bayern Munich are about to become severely limited.

Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola will welcome in Robert Lewandowski from Borussia Dortmund and is ready to sanction the sale of Mandzukic and will look to bring in a youthful addition to act as a back-up for the Polish goal machine.

Mandzukic has been a prolific goal-scorer since moving to Bayern Munich in the summer of 2012, scoring 48 goals in87 appearances.

Arsenal will conduct another Bundesliga raid as they look ready to agree a £37m deal to sign long term target Julian Draxler.

The 20 year old German international came very close to joining Arsenal in January but fears over his recovery from an ankle injury led to the move being put on the back-burner.

Draxler has since returned to the Schalke first team set-up and has been in fine form, helping his side in their pursuit of a Champions League berth.

Arsenal are ready to fork out the £37m needed to trigger Draxler’s release clause but may look to keep the price down by offering Lukas Podolski as part of the deal to sign the attacking midfielder.

Arsene Wenger is ready to follow up a succession of scouting trips to monitor Toulouse right-back Serge Aurier with a £10m bid for the Ivory Coast international.

The Arsenal manager is running out of hope with regards to persuading Bacary Sagna to agree a deal to remain at the club and as such will look to bring in highly-rated Aurier to fight young England man Carl Jenkinson to fill the void left by the veteran French international.

Wenger will look trim his expansive squad this summer with a number of his first team squad set to be axed with the likes of the aforementioned Podolski, Mikel Arteta, Thomas Vermaelen and Abou Diaby being the most high-profile players set for a Gunners exit.
