Barcelona have reportedly not ruled out making a move for Chelsea youngster Thibaut Courtois, this despite the fact that the Belgian has a massive €50m (£41m) price-tag according to Abola.

The 21 year old played a massive part in Atletico Madrid’s defeat of Chelsea in the Champions League semi-finals, putting in some typically strong displays against his parent club, and there is every chance that Jose Mourinho will seek to cash-in on the custodian and will not be averse to selling Courtois to Barcelona.

The Nou Camp side have seen their transfer ban suspended so they can indeed look to bring in a viable replacement for Victor Valdes, who has already stated his intention to leave the Catalan giants this summer, and Courtois is one of the hottest prospects in Europe right now and as such may be worth the large sum needed to acquire his services.

Courtois is into his third season on loan at the Vicente Calderon and is still to play a single senior game for Chelsea and the chance to remain in La Liga could well interest the former Racing Genk man.
