With the Blues looking to bring in one, perhaps even two, new striking options it appears that Mourinho is happy to allow a number of his current crop of forwards to leave with Fernando Torres, Demba Ba and Samuel Eto’o all set to leave.

Those exits will lead to bids for Atletico Madrid’s Diego Costa and Bayern Munich marksman Mario Mandzukic.

Mourinho will look to secure significant funds from the exits of Brazilian pair David Luiz and Ramires whilst Nigerian international duo John Obi Mikel and Victor Moses will also be shown to the Stamford Bridge exit.

Of the club’s three veteran long serving Englishmen Ashley Cole will be allowed to leave whilst John Terry and Frank Lampard have done enough to earn new deals.

Loaned out striker Romelu Lukaku could be set for a move to local rivals Tottenham, a move Mourinho is happy to sanction to help boost his transfer fund pot.

Squad players Marko Marin, Oriol Romeu, Gael Kakuta, Josh McEachran, Hilario and Sam Hutchinson are also deemed surplus to requirements by the Premier League side.
