Bacary Sagna will start for Arsenal in this afternoon’s Premier League clash with West Bromwich Albion at the Emirates Stadium.

The Frenchman had been a fitness doubt due to a knee issue.

Today’s game is likely to be Sagna’s last home match for the Gunners, as the 31-year-old’s contract is due to expire at the end of June.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has made just one change to his starting XI following Monday’s 3-0 win over Newcastle United.

Welsh international Aaron Ramsey, who has been plagued by injury this season, is replaced in midfield by Mathieu Flamini.

Ramsey has not even been named on the bench, but Abou Diaby, who has been out of action for over 13 months with a torn anterior cruciate ligament, is among the substitutes.

Meanwhile, West Brom manager Pepe Mel has made two changes from the team that started last weekend’s 1-0 win over West Ham United, as Diego Lugano and James Morrison return to the first XI.

Arsenal XI: Szczesny; Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal; Flamini, Arteta; Cazorla, Ozil, Podolski; Giroud.

Subs: Fabianski, Jenkinson, Vermaelen, Kallstrom, Rosicky, Diaby, Sanogo.

West Brom XI: Foster; Dawson, Lugano, Olsson; Brunt, Amalfitano, Mulumbu, Morrison, Dorrans; Sessegnon; Berahino.

Subs: Myhill, Anichebe, O’Neil, Sinclair, Vydra, McAuley, Yacob.
