Nou Camp side chase White Hart Lane custodian.

French international keeper Hugo Lloris has repeatedly found himself having to make countless saves due to the inability of his Tottenham defence to adequately protect him and as such a move to Barcelona will almost certainly tempt the former Lyon man.

The Daily Mail claims that the Nou Camp side see Lloris as a replacement for exit bound Victor Valdes and it’s a wise move to consider given the fine form the 27 year old has displayed this season.

With the White Hart Lane side failing to secure a Champions League berth such a move becomes all the more likely though Spurs will fight tooth and nail to keep hold of the custodian.

Tottenham paid an initial £8m to sign Lloris in August 2012 and would demand significantly move if they were to consider selling the keeper. His value may be driven up further if he impresses at the 2014 World Cup finals where he is a nailed on starter for national team coach Didier Deschamps.

Now that Barcelona have had their transfer ban suspended they can banish the scary thought of being stuck with serial bungler Jose Pinto as their first choice keeper.
