Rovers exit the professional game for the first time in their history.
Bristol Rovers succumbed to their first relegation from the Football League in their 94 year history on Saturday as they lost to Mansfield Town by a goal to nil.
However, as if the pain of relegation wasn’t enough the fans flooded the pitch to vent their frustrations at the club’s slide at the club’s officials and back room staff.
However, fans were met by a significant police presence and were forced back by officers on horseback, who wielded batons to ensure their authority was recognised.
