Club chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has hinted that the club could be willing to let him go if he were to demand a transfer away from the Alianz Arena this summer as has been mooted.

The German international has not been a regular starter under Pep Guardiola and is thought to be less than happy at the prospect of another season playing from the bench. He has since been tipped to make a move to Old Trafford as prospective new boss Louis Van Gaal has reportedly made him one of his top targets.

The Red Devils are thought to be monitoring the 24-year-old’s situation at Bayern, with Van Gaal having handed the attacker his die Roten debut, and Rummenigge is ready to sit down with Muller and discuss his future.

“Muller’s situation? If a player does not feel well at Bayern Munich, he should come to my office,” Rummenigge was quoted as saying by Bild.

“We will have to talk about things like that.”

Muller is still tied to the Bavarian giants until 2017 and has bagged himself 13 goals in 30 Bundesliga appearances this season.
