The 26 year old found his way back in Arsenal’s first team set-up this season chiefly as Arsene Wenger hadn’t sufficiently invested in his attack and due to injuries suffered by Lukas Podolski and Theo Walcott.
The Danish international is unlikely to be offered a new Gunners contract and with Fulham said to be unlikely to keep hold of Dimitar Berbatov and Kostas Mitroglou as they prepare for life in the Championship a move for Bendtner could be a sensible, and inexpensive, option to consider.
Bendtner has previously been linked with Stoke City, Crystal Palace and Hull City and could well field offers from abroad but a solid offer from Craven Cottage could well interest the big forward, not least as a move from north to west London will clearly be an easy one to undertake logistically.
Wenger has handed Bendtner just one Premier League start this season.
