La Liga giants Real Madrid are set to renew their long-running interest in brilliant Liverpool front man Luis Suarez at the end of the season after ending their own interest in Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero, according to reports in The Times.

Los Blancos have been keeping close tabs on the prolific Uruguay international for well over a year now, and even made tentative inquiries about Suarez’s availability in last summer’s transfer window.
However, after the Reds made it clear that they had absolutely no intention whatsoever of allowing their star man to quit Anfield last year, it was widely assumed that Suarez would be remaining on Merseyside for the foreseeable future, especially as Madrid seemed to be more interested in luring City’s Argentina international forward to the Santiago Bernabeu instead when this summer’s transfer window reopened for business.
However, that was before Aguero’s recent poor run with injuries began to blight his campaign, a fact that has reportedly not gone unnoticed in the Spanish capital, so much so that now Madrid are said to have made Suarez their number one transfer target for next season.
