Reports coming from well-known and respected Brazilian journalist Rafael Hernandez, who often has a hand on the goings on inside the club took to Twitter to deliver a list of names that club scouts have been keeping eyes on over the past 12 months.
Some players I was told Barcelona scouted this season: Reus, Wilshere, Rojo, Iturbe, Mangala, William Carvalho, Cuadrado.

Wilshere is among the players listed, and the England international has been linked several times as a target for Barca, as his playing style is very much in the mould befitting the club’s attacking philosophy.
The 22-year-old has had his fair share of problems when it comes to injuries this year, but he has still impressed by putting in some good performances for the Gunners, scoring five goals and weighing in with four assists in 34 appearances in all competitions.
Wilshere is joined on Barca’s watch list by the likes of Marco Reus, Marcos Rojo, Juan Iturbe, Eliaquim Mangala, William Carvalho and Juan Cuadrado.
Whether or not Barca decide to press ahead with a move for the England international remains to be seen, but the news will surely come as a much welcome ego boost ahead of this summer’s World Cup.
