Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that Edgar Davids will feature in Ledley King’s testimonial at White Hart Lane on Monday night.

The former Juventus and Holland star, who made 40 Premier League appearances during an 18-month spell in North London, will play for King’s Guest XI against the current Spurs first team.

Davids, 41, will be joined by Tottenham favourites such as David Ginola, Darren Anderton, Teddy Sheringham, Ruel Fox, Paul Robinson and Dimitar Berbatov.

Peter Crouch, Teemu Tainio, Paul Stalteri and Pascal Chimbonda have also been confirmed as members of King’s star-studded squad.

Hull City midfielder Tom Huddlestone has agreed to play as well, despite the game coming just five days before his current employers take on Arsenal in the FA Cup final at Wembley.

Meanwhile, there are unconfirmed rumours that head coach Tim Sherwood and assistant Steffen Freund could play for King’s Guest XI, with coaches Chris Ramsey and Les Ferdinand likely to take charge of the first team for the one-off game.

Centre-back King, who will of course captain his side, played 268 Premier League games for Spurs during 14 seasons as a professional.

He was also capped 21 times by England at senior international level.
