Anfield side chase Liberty Stadium custodian.
Liverpool are set to offer Swansea City £5m for Dutch international keeper Michel Vorm according to the Daily Mail.
Anfield boss Brendan Rodgers is apparently keen to bring in a custodian who can effectively challenge Simon Mignolet for his starting spot and Vorm would certainly offer the Belgian quite a challenge.
The 30 year old has impressed since moving to the Premier League in August 2011, a player Rodgers signed for the Liberty Stadium side when he was in charge of the south Wales side, and isn’t a player Garry Monk would want to lose.
Liverpool have had little problems in the final third and look set to rack up 100 plus goals in domestic league action this term but at the back they have been very leaky.
This was never more clearly evident than when the Merseyside outfit let a three goal lead slip at Crystal Palace, leading to the 3-3 draw that has all but ended their title chase.
In total Liverpool have conceded 49 goals this season, no less than eight other sides have conceded less, hence the need to bring in extra defensive options.
