Napoli have set their sights on Man City striker Stevan Jovetic, offering the Montenegrin international the chance of a Serie A return following a difficult first season in the Premier League.

Manuel Pellegrini has barely made use of Jovetic this term, offering the former Fiorentina man just two Premier League starts, with the likes of Sergio Aguero, Edin Dzeko and Alvaro Negredo all ahead of the bit-part player in the Etihad Stadium pecking order.

To be fair to when called upon Jovetic has delivered this season, scoring six goals in all competitions despite making just five fixtures.

If Pellegrini does not lose the services of any of the three strikers currently ahead of Jovetic then a move back to Italy may well be one that the 24 year old opts to pursue for fear of stagnating on the Man City bench.

Napoli have secured a solid third place finish, as well as clinching a Coppa Italia triumph, and could offer Jovetic far more first team action.
