Arsenal stars Bacary Sagna, Laurent Koscielny and Olivier Giroud are reportedly to have advised French national team coach Didier Deschamps to drop Man City attacker Samir Nasri from his 2014 World Cup squad according to a report in Equipe de France.

Fanatix also report on the allegation that the Gunners players were not keen on having their former team-mate around in Brazil according to claims made by French journalist Daniel Riolo.

Nasri would certainly have expected his efforts in an excellent season to help into the 23 man squad for the upcoming tournament and the decision to not include the 26 year old surprised many, and clearly angered the Man City star’s girlfriend, who went on a furious attack against Deschamps via her Twitter account.

THe former Arsenal man played a pivotal role in Man City’s Premier League title winning campaign, scoring 11 goals in all competitions and and finishing the campaign as one of the club’s leading assist makers.

Both Sagna and Koscielny played alongside Nasri durin his spell at the Emirates Stadium though Olivier Giroud arrived after the former Marseille man had left for the Etihad.
