West Ham are reportedly prepared to move in to sign Tottenham winger Aaron Lennon according to Football Direct News.

The Hammers are also joined by Sunderland in pursuit of the 27 year old wide-man who hasn’t been at his best for the past couple of seasons.

Lennon proved largely ineffective last term, scoring just once and providing three assists in 33 appearances in all competitions and given the fact that the likes of Nacer Chadli, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Christian Eriksen and Andros Townsend can be used in wide attacking roles the north London side may be ready to cash-in on the former Leeds United man.

Tottenham signed Lennon from the Elland Road side in a bargain £1m deal back in JUne 2005 but has arguably failed to deliver on his obvious potential and may be on his to a White Hart Lane exit.
