Never let it be said that all footballers are selfish, spoiled millionaires.
This week Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic returned to his native Bosnia to come to the aid of the unfortunate victims of the recent floods in the country.
He was pictured by Bosnian website nkp.ba in a pharmacy Sarajevo, where he bought out the entire stock of the store to distribute amongst those worst affected by the damage.
In an age where footballers are so often painted with a bad brush, it’s refreshing to see one take the initiative and head straight for the affected area of a tragedy to help directly.
