Arsenal are keen on landing loaned out QPR attacker Adel Taarabt with Football Direct News claiming that the north London side are willing to offer a player swap deal to sign the Moroccan.

A move for the 25 year old former Tottenham man is hard to fathom to say the least, especially as Arsene Wenger has a host of creative midfield and wide attacking players who are superior to Taarabt, and the idea that the likes of Nacho Monreal or Mikel Arteta would be open to being included in such a move make such a claim all the more nonsensical.

Though undoubtedly talented Taarabt is well known for not delivering on his obvious potential and now no longer has youth to fall back upon.

The QPR man did impress during his loan spell at AC Milan but a move to the Emirates Stadium seems hugely unlikely but a permanent exit from the west London club does seem plausible as Harry Redknapp is unlikely to be keen on welcoming the serial underachiever back to the newly promoted outfit.
