Tottenham’s £30 million record signing from last summer Erik Lamela is still very much in demand in Serie A, reports talkSPORT.

The 22-year old Argentine winger has been labeled a flop signing for the North London club after managing just 17 appearances for them in all competitions last season, but his impressive showing for Roma before his move to White Hart Lane continues to attract plenty of suitors from Italy.

The likes of Roma, Napoli, Fiorentina and Perugia are reportedly locked in a 4-way battle to lure Lamela away from England, but Spurs would understandably be reluctant to sell their player unless they can recoup a major portion of the hefty fee they paid for him last summer.

The appointment of new Argentine boss Mauricio Pochettino as the club’s head coach has instilled renewed optimism in the club’s ranks that the 42-year old manager can get the best out of Lamela next season.

However, every player has his price, and Pochettino’s dilemma will be whether to retain faith in Lamela or accept a generous fee and reinvest it elsewhere in the side.
