New White Hart Lane manager plans raid on old club.

Check in to England vs Italy

Newly appointed Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino will look to raid his former club by chasing a trio of Southampton talents this summer according to the Daily Mirror.

The Argentine manager led Southampton to a very healthy top ten finish last term and has his sights set on injured forward Jay Rodriguez who could well be the ideal man to lead the Spurs attack.

With the likes of Erik Lamela and Roberto Soldado failing to make an impact in the debut campaigns at the north London club there is certainly a need to strengthen the Tottenham attack.

Rodriguez would almost certainly have made Roy Hodgson’s 2014 World Cup squad has he not be sidelined and the former Burnley man could be keen on a move to Tottenham.

The 24 year old netted 15 goals in 30 Premier League starts last season including one against Spurs back in March.

Pochettino is also looking to bring in young midfielder James Ward-Prowse as well as talented right-back Nathaniel Clyne.
