Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has set his sights on Swansea City youngster Ben Davies according to the Daily Mail.

The north London club scouted the 21 year old on a number of occasions last term and are ready to make an offer for the Liberty Stadium star.

The White Hart Lane side’s current first choice in the position is Danny Rose, who had an up and down campaign last term and has had a fair few problems with injuries to boot.

Davies has been a hugely talented performer in the past two seasons at Swansea City and is the subject of interest from a number of Premier League sides and the Welsh international may be tempted by the prospect of a move to a top six side.

Pochettino is sure to be handed a decent transfer war-chest as he sets about bringing in a number of summer additions to help put his stamp on the squad he inherited from Tim Sherwood, who in turn barely lasted five months in the post before he was axed by chairman Daniel Levy.
