The San Siro side are ready to offload the 23 year old Italian international who has had an up and down time of it off the field of play and Gunners boss Arsene Wenger would do well to make an offer for the former Man City man.

Whilst Balotelli may have had his fair share of run-ins since returning to Milan he has still managed to net a healthy 30 goals in 54 appearances and is said to be open to a move back to the English top tier.

The Rossoneri are apparently strapped for cash and having failed to secure a Champions League berth the Serie A side have even of a need to balance the books.

The player’s representatives will fly to the UK to try and assess their client’s options during the World Cup and Arsene Wenger will be at the tournament working as a pundit and can therefore keep tabs on the youngster.

Arsenal were overly reliant on Olivier Giroud last season and a lack of strength in depth in the central striking role is certainly one the club’s supporters will hope Wenger addresses this summer.
