Steven Gerrard and Daniel Sturridge have used England’s preparations for the 2014 World Cup as a chance to get to know their new club teammate Rickie Lambert.
The 32-year-old striker signed for the Reds from Southampton on Saturday in a £4m deal, but won’t join up with the rest of the squad at Anfield until after the World Cup in Brazil.
Lambert is the first of what is expected to be many new signings for the Merseysiders this summer, as they prepare for their return to the Champions League.
