Chelsea fans can now get ready to welcome long term target Diego Costa as he has completed his medical before a proposed move to Stamford Bridge, reports the Daily Mirror.
Costa’s move to Chelsea had been held up by an injury late last season to the 25-year old, but he has now completed a full medical in Washington D.C., where he is currently training with the Spanish national team for the World Cup.
The Atletico Madrid ace is believed to have cost the Blues the full amount of his £32 million release clause, but is sure to add much more bite to an underwhelming Chelsea strike force from last season.
Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto’o and Demba Ba scored fewer goals than Costa between them, illustrating the clear need for the Spain international to boost the firepower at the west London club.
