Stamford Bridge side set to bring in Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich marksman.

The Blues are set to unveil Brazilian born Spanish international Diego Costa following the west London side’s move to trigger the 25 year old £32m release clause, with a medical having already been passed.

The Atletico Madrid man netted 36 goals in all competitions and will be handed a £160k a week deal by the Stamford Bridge side who are also hot on the heels of Bayern Munich forward Mario Mandzukic.

The £25m rated Croatian seems likely to leave the Bundesliga giants after Allianz Arena boss Pep Guardiola opted to bring in Borussia Dortmund goal machine Robert Lewandowski on a free transfer.

Mandzukic appeared to have more than justified his spot as Bayern Munich’s first choice central striking option, scoring 22 goals in his first campaign following his move to Bavaria from Wolfsburg, and 26 in all competitions in 2013/14.

In keeping with Jose Mourinho’s sensible approach to the transfer market the Portuguese boss may well look to sell Demba Ba, Fernando Torres or Romelu Lukaku to balance the books ahead of moves to sign this talented strike-pair.
