The £10m rated Ghanaian international is keen on a move to the Premier League and his Ligue 1 side are ready to cash-in on the 24 year old, who has 18 months to run on his current contract.
Ayew has publicly stated his desire to play in the English top tier, stating;
“The Premier League is a league every player dreams about.
“The English league is the one most followed in Ghana. It’s true that I have a real preference for England.
“I like everything about it; the atmosphere, the game, the fans. There is a lot of intensity. It is a beautiful championship.”
Ayew has represented Marseille since the age of 16 and has been a first team regular over the past four seasons and his record of 49 goals in 161 appearances is a healthy one for a player primarily used in a wide-attacking role.
Though Brendan Rodgers can count on Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge for an end product the Northern Irishman doesn’t have the best back-up options to his first choice starters.
Iago Aspas and Fabio Borini have failed to impress in Liverpool colours and as such a move for Ayew would be a sensible, and inexpensive, one to consider.
