Manchester United target Arturo Vidal is reportedly closing in on a move from Juventus to Real Madrid after agreeing personal terms with the Spanish club, Fichajes.net reports.
The Chilean midfielder has been one of the most impressive players in Serie A for some time now, forming one of the best midfields in Europe alongside the likes of Andrea Pirlo and Paul Pogba to help Juventus to three consecutive title wins in Italy.
Vidal was then linked with a move to Old Trafford for much of last summer, though he was one of numerous high-profile near-misses by the club as they endured a frustrating transfer window, and they look set to miss out on him again this year.
Although new United manager Louis van Gaal has expressed a liking for the 27-year-old, he now looks set to make the move to the Bernabeu, with the two clubs now needing to agree a fee for his transfer.
A new midfielder had been a priority for the Champions League winners with some doubt over the future of Sami Khedira, and they appear to have successfully persuaded Vidal to make the move to the Spanish capital for next season.
