Wenger is to be handed a £100m transfer kitty that was boosted to the tune of £5.5m, the fee they received as part of Cesc Fabregas’s move to Chelsea this week, and the north London side have set their sights on players of real quality.
Top of the Gunners wish-list is apparently AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli, who Wenger wants to bring in to help boost an attack that is overly reliant on French forward Olivier Giroud.
The former Man City man has had a tough time of it since returning to his native Italy but has still scored regularly for AC Milan, netting 30 goals in 54 appearances since his move to the San Siro.
Wenger also wants Real Madrid pair Iker Casillas and Sami Khedira and continues to pursue in-form Real Sociedad winger Antoine Griezmann.
Casillas is seen by Wenger as the ideal man to battle Wojciech Szczesny for the Arsenal starting spot whilst Khedira could be considered a replacement for veteran battle Mikel Arteta.
