Real step up interest in Chelsea striker.Real Madrid could make an offer for young Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku if they sell Alvaro Morata to Arsenal this summer, according to the Daily Star.
Speculation is building that Real will allow promising young forward Morata to make a cut-price move to the Emirates Stadium if the two clubs can negotiate a buy-back clause into his contract, which would leave manager Carlo Ancelotti a little short of depth upfront.
Although big names such as Luis Suarez and Sergio Aguero have also been linked with moves to the Bernabeu this summer, it is now thought that Chelsea’s Lukaku could be up there with the club’s top targets.
The 21-year-old has shown plenty of promise in recent loan spells with both Everton and West Bromwich Albion, but faces something of an uncertain future at Stamford Bridge due to vast competition for places, particularly with the impending arrival of Diego Costa from Atletico Madrid.
It is also thought that Atletico have shown an interest in the Belgian starlet, but Real are now set to join the chase for his signature as his desire to leave Chelsea could mean he is available for a reduced fee.
Blues midfielder Ramires is another player at the club to have recently emerged as a target for the Spanish giants.
