Reports in Italy are suggesting that sportswear brand Puma could help broker Mario Balotelli’s move from AC Milan to Arsenal this summer as the player is sponsored by the group and the club have recently agreed a deal for them to produce their kits, according to the Daily Mail.

Balotelli’s future at Milan has been cast into doubt after club President Silvio Berlusconi admitted a final decision was still to be decided, and Sky Sports Italia pundit Mario Giunta suggested: “Arsenal are very interested in Balotelli and Arsene Wenger would do anything to bring him to London.”

“This operation could be pushed forward by the technical sponsor, who Balotelli shares with Arsenal. To have Balotelli in the Premier League for Arsenal would be an important investment.”

Wenger has been increasingly open over his admiration for the Italian striker, but it is thought that he remains keen on Bayern Munich striker Mario Mandzukic after he confessed that his future lay away from the Alianz Arena this summer.

The Gunners have just recently linked up with Puma to provide their kit, and Balotelli himself is sponsored by the brand.

It is thought to be a similar deal to the one that Adidas had attempted to do with Lionel Messi and Chelsea earlier on in the year.
