Monaco to allow £51m man to leave.

Check in to Colombia vs Greece

Chelsea and other top clubs could be boosted in their pursuit of Monaco striker Radamel Falcao, who will reportedly be allowed to leave the club this summer, according to Le10Sport.

The Colombian international, who cost AS Monaco £51m, is currently out injured and set to miss the World Cup due to a knock sustained earlier this season, which allegedly left him angry with the club’s management.

With speculation mounting that Falcao is unhappy with the Ligue 1 giants after spending just one season with the club, it has now emerged that Monaco will not force him to stay and could be open to reasonable offers for him in this summer’s transfer window.

The likes of Chelsea and Real Madrid have previously shown a strong interest in Falcao after his superb goalscoring exploits with previous club Atletico Madrid, which saw him score 70 goals in just 91 appearances over two seasons.

Although the Blues look likely to confirm the signing of another Atletico forward in Diego Costa this summer, Jose Mourinho could still take the chance to sign Falcao as he seeks to revamp his misfiring strike force by selling the likes of Fernando Torres, Demba Ba and possibly youngster Romelu Lukaku as well.
