Arsenal are ready to make a £5m bid for Liverpool keeper Pepe Reina according to the Daily Mail.

Reina seemingly doesn’t have a future at Anfield though did enjoy his season on loan at Napoli last term could be keen on a return to the Premier League.

Wenger failed with a £20m bid for Reina in 2010 but may feel a £5m offer more likely to succeed this summer with Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers keeping faith with Belgian Simon Mignolet.

Prior to his loan move to Italy Reina was rightly considered one of the safest pair of hands in the English top tier and could well replace Iker Casillas in Spain’s final two World Cup group games after the Real Madrid star put in a poor display against Holland.
