Chelsea are being tipped to make a move for promising young Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi to join the club’s new-look attack next season, according to Fichajes.com.

The Blues are already believed to have completed the £32m signing of Diego Costa from Atletico Madrid after manager Jose Mourinho sought to make a number of changes to his forward players for next season.

The likes of Fernando Torres, Demba Ba and Romelu Lukaku look likely to leave, while Icardi is also a target for Mourinho to come in as an alternative to Spanish hit-man Costa.

The 21-year-old Argentine is one of the brightest prospects in Serie A at the moment, having worked his way into Inter’s first-team in 2013/14 with nine goals and two assists in 22 appearances for the Nerazzuri.

Other top clubs have also showed an interest in the promising young forward, but Chelsea are now expected to be the favourites to land him this summer, despite Inter recently completing a move to sign 100% of the player’s rights, as he had previously been co-owned with fellow Serie A side Sampdoria.

Still, it is thought that the Italian giants are ready to sell the player for the right price in this transfer window.
