Goodison Park side ready to spend big this summer.

Check in to Belgium vs Algeria

Everton boss Roberto Martinez is ready to conduct a major summer spending spree with the Toffees ready to make moves for as many as seven potential targets according to the Daily Star.

Martinez is currently in Brazil and appears to be using the World Cup as a good basis for some solid scouting having visited the Dutch training camp just before their triumph over Spain and subsequently taken a keen interest in Dynamo Kiev attacker Jeremain Lens and Feyenoord defender Stefan de Vrij.

Roberto Martinez is also keen to bring in last season’s loaned in talents Romelu Lukaku and Gareth Barry on a permanent basis and has been effervescent in his praise for the Belgian striker and the veteran midfielder, stating;

“Romelu was a great addition to Everton. He is an extraordinary boy who walks the walk as well as talking the talk.

“We would love to have him back and people at Chelsea are good friends of mine so we are hopeful.

“But he’s at the World Cup now and we will have to wait and see what happens.

“Gareth had a great season for us and I know the manager has spoken to him.

“I will meet his people and we are hopeful he will be here next season.”
