Group F rivals Iran and Nigeria clash in Curitiba in game 12 of the 2014 FIFA World Cup tonight.

Iran, who are managed by former Real Madrid and Manchester United coach Carlos Queiroz, are making their fourth appearance at the World Cup finals.

The Asian nation have only won one of their nine group stage games to date, beating the USA 2-1 at France ’98.

Meanwhile, opponents Nigeria have appeared at four previous finals, reaching the knockout phase twice.

However, the Super Eagles have not won in their last eight matches on the biggest stage of all.

Nigeria will be powered by two Chelsea players – midfielder John Obi Mikel and winger Victor Moses, who spent the past season on loan at Liverpool. Former Newcastle United striker Shola Ameobi could also feature.

Iran’s attack will be led by Charlton Athletic’s Reza Ghoochannejhad, while Fulham’s Ashkan Dejagah will play out wide. They will be captained by Javad Nekounam, who spent six years in Spain with Osasuna.
