Despite the 2014 World Cup in Brazil having started last Thursday this is the first game for both Belgium and Algeria in Group H.
It’s the final group of the tournament and having witnessed some exciting games already in the competition, these two teams will be keen to emulate that and of course come out with a win.
The Belgians go into the match as favourites and were billed as many peoples’ dark horses ahead of the tournament.
It’s the first time the nation has competed at the World Cup since 2002, but having drawn what is supposedly one of the easier pools they are expected to qualify for the last-16.
There were injury concerns over Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku ahead of the game, with the 21-year-old picking up an ankle injury in the Red Devils’ final warm-up match against Tunisia.
However, the forward is expected to have recovered in time to face the Algerians, although there are also problems with Divock Origi and Kevin de Bruyne.
For the African team there are worries over Hassan Yebda – who also has an ankle injury – although if the midfielder is declared fit then manager Vahid Halilhodzic will have a full strength squad to pick from.
