Chelsea are set to slap a whopping £32m price tag on want away striker Romelu Lukaku, sending out mixed signals over whether they want him to leave or to stay, according to the Metro.

Lukaku, who has spent the past two seasons with West Brom and Everton respectively, is not believed to be in boss Jose Mourinho’s plans, despite impressing in his Premier League loan spells.

However, Jose Mourinho has apparently chanced his mind over what he thinks about the 21-year-old by slapping a massive £32m price tag on him.

Lukaku is currently away in Brazil for the World Cup with the Belgian national team where he is expected to lead the line unopposed following a late season injury to Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke.

Everton, with whom he spent last season on loan, are known to want him back at Goodison Park, while there is also significant interest in his signature mounting in Serie A with the likes of Juventus and Inter Milan declaring their interest in him.

But it is seemingly apparent that Mourinho is not interested in letting the striker head out on another short term deal, and will only consider letting him make an exit from Stamford Bridge if the big bucks are offered.
