The experienced Argentine is apparently keen to leave the Parc des Princes and may be keen on a possible move to north London where Gunners boss Arsene Wenger will hope the 29 year old can provide some much needed quality in the final third.

Lavezzi impressed greatly during his five season spell at Napoli, where he formed a great partnership with Uruguayan Edinson Cavani, but has been less effective in the French capital.

Wenger is ready to shell out £15m for the adaptable forward, who can play in a central attacking role though is more effective on the flanks.

Interest in Lavezzi may well be fueled by the fact that the north London side not only overly relied upon Olivier Giroud last season but also could be a push to address the fact that both Lukas Podolski and Theo Walcott have had their fair share of injury problems over the past 18 months.

Lavezzi has netted 23 goals in 90 appearances for PSG and is part of the Argentina squad at the 2014 World Cup finals though is by no means a starter.
